| Hello all my dad called me yesterday and said his mower wouldnt start. So he went and bought a new solenoid. he has a 42" MTD RIDER with a 17.5hp briggs motor. When we hooked the new solenoid up and connected the black battery cable then went to connect the red battery cable to the battery, the cable began to spark a lot when it touched the terminal
I checked connections everywhere and I did hook a jumper to the starter and it struggled to turn the engine over what could this be? |

"I checked connections everywhere and I did hook a jumper to the starter and it struggled to turn the engine over Has he every checked the valve adjustment? I have detailed valve adjustment instructions at address below IF wanted, put in proper format and remind me of engine and what is wanted. Walt Conner |
