Honda HRX2172VKA Maintenance

I have a Honda HRX2172VKA and would like to know what general maintenance is required to keep it in tip-top condition. I've had the mower for two years and love it. I mow my bermuda lawn two or three times a week and change oil every month. I also sharpen the blades every other mow.

What other maintenance should I be doing? Should I do anything with the gear case?

Thanks,
Dave

Clean under the deck after each mow. Change the air filter once a year. Change oil once a season and use synthetic. Refer to the owners manual for plug changes. Sharpen the blade no more frequently than once a year. Store fuel in a good air tight container and try to buy only to last the season. Fuel and oil additives are not be needed. Refer to the owners manual for any lubrication.

When I store all my equipment I spray the cables with Cable lube. The drive cable can be a bear to change. Also in the manual there is a set point for the cable settings they are important.
In all my Hondas I use K&N filters. They make one for the Honda Lawn Mower.
If you go from Bag to mulch keep the chute clean and clear. They need lubrication in the spring.
