simplicity regent 15hp starts fine but dies when putting in gear

i have a simplicity regent 15hp with 38" deck. this season have problem with it starting fine but when put in gear dies. all the safety switches were replaced and it worked fine for 2 mowings after that and now doing the same thing again. i am not sure what year it is. i bought it used 4 yrs ago. a retired lawnmower repair man replaced the switches for me. not sure if i should take to a repair shop or try to troubleshoot myself. any suggestions?

Possibly the seat switch or sometimes the connector has an anti tamper spring inside which can mess up the works. A basic ohmmeter can tell you if the switch is working. More help? Best to have the full model number. Does this have a mow in reverse switch?
