adding fuel cutoff valve

Posted by seahorse 7 (My Page) on

I am replacing the fuel line on my mower, and got a fuel cutoff valve to add in, since mine did not have it.

Question - does it matter where in the line you add it? Is it OK in the middle, or better off to one side?

Any other tips appreciated :)
(It did come with hose clamps)

Where ever it is convenient for you.

before the fuel pump or carb. depending on your model. As suggested where even it's convenient, but not laying on the engine block due to heat.

And before fuel filter IF there is one.

Good secondary advice on the inline fuel filter usage addition within your application . As stated ahead of the carb and filter is the norm.
