| I bought an hrr216 (the blade stop one). It is sitting in a box in my garage and I can't get myself to open it due to the fact that the darn thing cost $500. I only have 4000sqft to mow so I feel I spent to much on a mower.
I am thinking of returning it for the toro 20332 which seems to have gotten good reviews and consumer reports best buy. It is $350. However I also really liked the snapper model that sears has for $340. The problem I see there is that consumer reports gave it poor marks. So I am pretty torn on what to do. My last option would be to return the $500 honda and get the $400 basic 216. Can anyone give me advice? |

| It's not my money, but why would you even need a self-propelled mower to cut 4000 sq.ft. of lawn unless you are infirm? Unless there are a lot of obstacles or it is very steep, I could probably cut a 50'x 80' area with a push mower in 15 minutes. In any case, I'd never buy something with a blade brake clutch. Of the models you have listed the Toro would be my choice.

| I'd take it back and get the Toro 20332. You cannot beat the drive system, it has more power and a better warranty with many more local dealers for service/repairs. The Honda is a good machine too but not for that kind of money. |

| Thanks, I took it back and bought the toro. Actually ended up getting the 20333 for $400. I realize it may not be worth it, but with kids and a dog I really like the feature to stop the blade but not the motor. I will agree on the drive system very nice. |
