| I have a Snapper 28085 Rear Engine mower. my question is when I engage the blades the engine throttles down to half speed. Am I missing a spring or something that keeps the engine at full throttle when the blade PTO is engaged? Any help would be greatly appreciated! |

| That would be the operation of the governor, which is probably controlled by a spring. Under a sudden heavy load, the engine momentarily drops to a lower speed. If that lag is excessive, I would first check that the operation of all the belts and blades are without undue friction. |
