14.5 briggs ohv lever arm question.

ok i have 14.5 briggs and the motor has no carb coil starter yet.ok the lever arm move when i turn the engine.is this ok or what?this motor has good compression head looks fine to me.thanks

i mean the governor shalf that work the throttle plate and stuff.

I will try to understand what you are asking. The governor shaft that sticks out the side of the engine will only have short movement either direction. Are you saying the lever that attaches to it has moved, slipped? Or that you are moving it?

That lever which attaches to the shaft has to be adjusted but you can not adjust it until you have a carburetor and all the linkages attached to it.

yes the shalf that sticks out the side of the engine moves on it own when you turn the engine over by hand.i think i have the lever arm adjusted right.
