Yardman Rider Discharge Problem

i have a YardMan 38 inch cut riding lawnmower.for some reason this season there seems to be a problem of discharging the cut grass. when i mow, there is a thin strip of grass clippings that gets discharged on the left side of the deck in a nice neat row.the majority of the grass gets discharged out the right side of the deck with no apparent problems.i clean the underside of the deck after each mowing, the blades are sharpened every 3-4 weeks.this is a stamped deck so there are no pieces of metal missing from underneath it.does anyone have any ideas or solutions to this problem? all tires are at proper inflation, blades are sharp and balanced, engine operating at full throttle, and ground speed is slow to moderate.it doesnt matter if i'm cutting 1/2" or 2" of grass...but ofcourse the taller the grass the more noticeable it is. any help is greatly appreciated !!! this mower is approximately 10 years old,i think. i'm the second owner.

Have the blades ever been changed with non oem? You seem to be indicating that you use this as a side discharge deck and are not bagging -correct? Model #? Are there any baffles or skirts missing? Being a stamped deck wouldn't indicate that there shouldn't be any. You could try changing front to rear deck pitch if all else fails. Be sure to measure where you started from.

i do not know if these are the OEM blades or not.i am not bagging.i did not notice anywhere on the underside of the deck where a baffle would have been welded in.everything is nice an smooth with vast majority of the paint still intact. model number is 136A694F401.i cant say for sure if the pitch has changed, but i can say the mower is very well cared for an not abused in any way shape or form.that is why i believe the pitch to be where it was last season or atleast very close.i've been contemplating buying two new standard issue blades and seeing what happens.the blades that are on it have a rise an fall type feature to them instead of being a flat blade.

'96 model. I don't see a front skirt on this deck on the parts diagram. The blades you have are likely the 3n1's that come with it. I believe that you have to go to an aftermarket supplier such as Oregon. They do have more of a bagger style blade which is straight and gator mulchers. It takes quite a bit to actually change the pitch on these. Usually it becomes noticeable as a side to side problem instead. IE something tarts to fail in the lift mechanism or the upper brackets start to pull off the top of the housing. Pitch itself is not adjustable. I had the thought that if lots of grass were blocking the airways around the spindles if that may make it want to blow out the side. I assume the deck speed sounds good?

the blades seem like they are up to speed,it sounds like every other mower i've had over the last 25 years....like a helicopter gettin ready to take off.lol. sounds like i'll end up trying a new set of blades and see what happens.definitely not able to update the mower like i pefer to do.like i said previously,i keep the deck pretty clean. there might be minimal build up underneath, but i've definitely had much worse in the past season or two and it still discharged fine.
