Hi all,

I have Craftsman mower model 917.376161 that won't start. So, here's the thing. It was purchased new about 6-7 years ago, used for 1 season and then has been sitting in indoor storage since. I was not the original owner or caretaker. The fuel tank was empty when I got it. Oil dirty but full.

When I attempt to pull the coil after priming, nothing happens.

Here's what I've done.

1. Filled with new gas. It was or seemed empty.
2. Cleaned air filter. Doesn't look so dirty it needs replaced.
3. Emptied oil, replaced with new.
4. Replaced spark plug.
5. Removed and cleaned carburetor. Emptied 100% of fuel in the process.
6. Refilled with new gas.

Not sure whether its a good idea or not, but I even removed the blade and belt until it actually runs.

Now, the spark plug seems like it is coming out with a tad of oil on it.. but I can't tell, might be gasoline.

I'm running out of ideas/options.

Thoughts?
