Craftsman ys4500 won't turn over

Hey everyone, I have a craftsman tractor, model number:

917-287240 that won't turn over.

It was in storage for 4 seasons after one season of use.

I replaced the battery, and the spark plug. Put in fresh gas and some engine start stuff I got from Home Depot. Got it to turn over once, and it stalled quickly and have not been able to turn it over again.

I found a guy somewhat local who can fix it, and tells me its the carburetor, which makes sense. I'd like to have him fix it, but getting it to him could be a problem for me.

I found a replacement carburetor on line, and I am pretty sure I could swap out mine with this one. My question is, if I cannot get it to this guy, is there anything else I should need to do, or should changing the carburetor be all I need?

After 4 years, I'd expect the fuel filter to be gunked up.
You might disconnect the fuel line and see if it pumps fuel to the carb.
Likely the carb is gunked up too.
