It is best to get all gaskets w/ the carb and install them with just a touch of adhesive. Keeps everything in place as you juggle the spacers etc. Lay things out carefully and watch linkages and you should do fine.

You may want to take this time to adjust the jetting for maximum engine life and starting ease. Here's how; adjust the main jet to a jet size 84,and the pilot air jet adjust air screw counterclockwise another 1/2 to 3/4 turn from standard setting. Also go up 1-2 size jet size on the pilot jet itself (underneath the set screw near the pilot air screw). A wire gauge drill set will have the correct drills for this, less than 15 dollars.Use canned air duster to clean all passages.

Dude, I appreciate the suggestion, but I'm pretty sure I don't have sense enough to do that. If I actually get it all back together and it runs, it will be a minor miracle. Lord help me if it needs adjusting...

A new carb should not have to be adjusted. I put on a lot of these and never had to adjust. Also getting to the adjustments on a HRX is a lot of trouble. The new carbs have limiters on them.
