| How do you get access into the rear wheel transmission area to put the three speed gear select cable on, it has a spring tension spring on it and you can not see behind transmission, any help would be appreciated it is an hrr2163tda model |

| I would think it a matter of getting the tin off below the deck. These have a rear facing spring- correct? )it hooks to a tab in the rear)You can pull the metal tab back and unsnap the spring to allow you to pivot the trans hopefully enough to detach the cable. |

| Get the Housing parts off. The chute and guard. Remove the spring. You now have access. Rotate the Transmission from top to bottom. Both cables should be disconnected at the handle. The Speed cable has a plastic told down. In order to get to that you have two holes in the pulley top for access. It is a little tricky to do. Sometimes you need to remove the pulley. Two screws hold the end of the cable to the transmission. |
