Can someone tell me what size wire gauge is used in Toro key start mowers for the electric start wire harness? Thanks

RE: Toro key start walk behind wire gauge?

You are asking a somewhat loaded question. I'm sure it depends on what part of the harness. Some of the heavier wire I would suppose to be 12 AWG, maybe 10 on some. Do you have like wire to match? Or a model # to compare?

RE: Toro key start walk behind wire gauge?

Thanks. I borrowed a wire cutter last night that has marked openings for the different size wires and yes it appears to be 12 AWG. This is for the high current ( 20 Amp starter ). The low current ( < 1 amp ) alternator and charger lines appear to be 16 AWG.

Using a gauge heavier wire isn't going to hurt anything.
