Hours per week wiht a mower
| | |

| Hi,
I was wondering how many hours per week people spend mowing their lawns, their lawn size and the mower they use. So for me it is:
4 hours, 1/2 acre, Honda 21 inch.
I think I am under-mowered.
best, Mike. |

Four hours a week on 1/2 acre? I don't get that. Seems like it would take maybe an hour to cut it once a week. Okay, two hours a week if you have to cut it twice a week. I probably use a mower (21") about 40 minutes a week. I also have 1/2 acre, but half of it is wooded. It's probably only about 7500 SF of grass. |

| I agree with Sax. I have about 10000 sq.feet of mowable grass and with one pass(no double cutting or bagging), it takes me about 1 hour with a 21" LB. |

I mow about 6500 sq feet of grass about 35 minutes/week. I am using a new 2009 Honda powered 21" 3in1 Husqvarna 1021P push mower with rear bagger.About a month ago I was using a 20 year old JD self propelled mower with a 3.5hp B&S engine. |

| I have about 8000 sq ft bermuda lawn, takes around 45 minutes, once per week, with a Snapper 21" (mulching). I'm glad I don't have to bag. |

2 cuts a week for me on my 3/4 acres 1 cut mid week with my LB10550 at the highest setting 1 cut on the weekend with my LB10424 at the highest setting (which is a little lower than the 10550) Takes a little over an hour per cut. |

| I have 2.5 acres of Sahara Bermuda to mow. I mowed it 5 times a week during the end of spring and most June. I can mow it in 45 minutes. It's slowing down now in this heat wave we are having. I mow with a Jacobsen LF-128 reel type fairway mower. Soon I'll convert to my Kubota ZD-28 for the super hot part of summer when I have to let it grow taller because I can't compete with the heat. The Kubota takes about 1.5 hours. About twice as long. |
