mower trouble

I have a john deere LT133 with a kowler engine sometimes it won"t start fire weak. Is there anything other than the coil to cause this trouble. Thanks for any help

I was mowing the yard last week it and i stoped and it did not want to start i put in new plug it started fine 3 or 4 times so sunday i started to mow and it did not want to start so i fool ran the battery down. pulled the plug out no fire cleaned coil with a little sandpaper hooked up the charger and it started shut it off and it would not start again no fire or real weak does it have a brain box on it thanks in advance

No brain box. It is built into the coil. Remove the little kill wire from the coil and if you have no spark, then you have a dead plug or a bad coil pack. Be sure that if you are testing the spark w/ a spark plug that the base is grounded well. These coils do fail btw. If you do have spark with the kill wire off, then you need to look elsewhere.
