Right rear axle grease leak - snapper rear engine rider

| Snapper model number 301223BVE - Right rear axle leaking grease onto wheel hub and outside of mower. What is probable cause? |

| I haven't done much with these, but there is a seal behind the hub. Perchance, had grease been recently added? |

| thanks for the response Not sure if grease had been added. Just got the mower. I cannot find that seal in parts diagram. Have not had the chance to work on it yet. |

| It is in the wheel/ hub section of the diagram. You may want to visit Snapper.com and seek the manual. These are serviced somewhat differently than a "normal" rider. Then you will have the correct way to make adjustments, check oil level etc... |

| Also, check for excessive side to side play in axle bushing. May be too much for seal to hold. Walt Conner |
