Lawnboy 10323 Carburetor

I took the carb off of my 10323 recently to put in a larger main jet. Guess I should have paid more attention during disassembly, because now I'm having difficulty putting it back on. It seems like when I position the carb so the air vane slides into the block opening, there isn't enough space between the carb and the block to fit the plastic air inlet tunnel. Did I get the air vane turned around somehow? It's turned toward the choke shaft now, but it seems like if it were turned away from the choke shaft, there would be room for the tunnel. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?
