I acquired this mower. At the time the Self-propelled would not disengage. It Self-propelled all the time. I drained all the gas and oil out and turned the mower upside down to have a look. I took the plate off the bottom and cleaned all the grass. It looked like the SP cable connected directly to the transmission. I lubed everything that was exposed. Put some new oil and gas in the mower. I disconnected the SP cable before starting the mower thinking that it may be too tight. Started the mower and the SP didn't work - which I thought was a good thing. Hooked up the SP cable/bar and still no Self-propell. Would turning the mower upside down have something to affect the SP not working? Any other ideas? Thanks to all for ideas.
