Craftsman19.5 HP Model # 917.270810 Serial # 100598D67805
Briggs & Stratton Engine 6 speed 42" cut Just got this mower it had been setting for 2 years ,had to rebuild Carbruator ,I got it running but when I release the brake it kills the engine.is there a switch that would do that ? |

| Why yes there is- Most likely a bad/misadjusted or DISCONNECTED seat switch. A more remote possibility is a bad/misadjusted attachment switch. |

| Looking at the schematic some more pretty much confines it to the seat switch. When in the seat, the other 2 switches no longer matter in regards to the kill circuit. |
