what is wrong?

Well their was way to much oil in the eager 1, smoked like crazy, so I drained a lot of oil out and the motor would vibrate like crazy, turned out adapter was broken, put a used good one on and,pulled spark plug and seen oil on plug, so i cranked it a few times to get any oil out, couple small slashes, tipped mower forward no oil came out, put plug back in, cranked and won't start, when it attempts to start it will puff smoke and yank the cord out of my hand, actually whipped me in ribs and hurt like he##.

any thoughts thanks.

the fly wheel key may have sheared or there is still oil in the cylinder

is that the key on the crank that the blade adapter spins from? cause that was sheared and I just put it back in.

is that the key on the crank that the blade adapter spins from? cause that was sheared and I just put it back in.

flywheel key ok, oil in cylinder yes, took head off wiped clean, so need blade adapter and key(comes with adapter) and head gasket, should be mowing next week.
thanks for the oil in cylinder advise.
