I suggest a Honda HRX217HMA.

The Toro 20095 is also a great mower and will save you about 10 pounds. It would be great if you had a dual line dealer where you could compare things like how the bag operates, how it handles etc.

I can't recommend a mower because I've not had a self propelled one in a long time, and I've never had a key start walk behind. I can however give my observations on front wheel drive mowers. I had one for many years and hated it from pretty early on. I kept it because I paid a lot for it and knew that it wouldn't bring much as a used mower and wanted to at least feel I'd gotten my money's worth out of it before I got rid of it. We had a nice smooth, flat lawn when I bought it and it was fine. However, when we bought our next home shortly after, the yard was much rougher and had lots of exposed oak tree roots. It was a constant fight to keep the front wheel drive mower going straight. Evey little bump would throw it off course. It got to where I wouldn't even engage the drive and just used it as a push mower.

Thanks, very helpful. I've looked at John Deere MowMentum, you can adjust all 4 wheels at once. And Toro 20334 which has Personal Pace? adjusts to your walking speed. However, I have not been able yet to try the levers myself, the handle height, and remove/replace the bagger to see how easy it is. The John Deere is about $120 more. Plan to also look at Sears.

Much as I like my Honda HRX, I don't think I could recommend it to a smallish lady with shoulder problems. The mower probably outweighs her, and even being self-propelled, is sort of a beast. The wheels aren't really that easy to adjust, either.

Well, the Deere is built by Snapper. They are a nice enough mower too. Does Sears still sell Snapper?
