Honda GCV190 mower runs wide open

This engine is in a Husqvarna 800AWD. Purchased less than 5 months ago and has worked flawlessly. Had not mowed in 3-4 weeks and would not start. Removed 2 screws on air filter housing to expose carburetor, etc. Did not see anything amiss and put back on. Mower started near first pull. However... it now runs wide open no matter how much or little pressure I put on the throttle lever. It runs so strongly that I fear the engine will blow apart. Need advice please. Have tried to take same assembly off/on 2 more times and same result.

If the throttle shaft on the carb is working freely, it really should go in for warranty.

First of all you should have not removed the 2 screws.
They hold the carburetor and the control assembly.
It looks like you knocked everything out of alignment.
They may fix it under warranty as long as you do not tell them you removed the screws.
I am sure you have the throttle rod touching or binding.

What 'rosemallow' said. You have bollox th governor mechanism. You probably have not hurt the engine running it wide open for short periods. As long as the blade is on it, the engine will be limited by the power requirement of the blade, as it acts as a fan. Typically this equilibrium is reached somewhere north of 3600-3800 RPM.
