| i have a 18hp briggs and it wont shut off.I am looking for what the gap should be on the coil as I think this may be the culprit. I have replaced the key and even tried putting a toggle switch inline to shut it off with but still runs. the only way to shut it off is to choke it and wait and that sometimes doesnt work. |

| If grounding the small terminal on the coil doesn't kill it, then the coil is defective. .010-.014 BTW |
