Tru-cut newbie needs help

Hello,
I have a used Tru-cut home 20" model with dual front casters.. I had the blade sharpened at a local shop because the mower did not seem to cut well. (The lawn after cutting had clumps of areas where the grass did not seem to have been cut at all. The look was worse than if it had been cut with a rotary mower.

Where can I find information on making adjustments?, where can I find tools to adjust it? I'd rather learn to do this myself than have to rely on a shop if possible.

Are their service manuals available?

thanks,
Todd

Did you reinstall the cutting blade? Did you put it back on the right way??
Is this machine possibly a reel mower? I don't know of any body who can give advice on reel mowers, except maybe golf course workers, who use reel mowers a lot in their work. Just be patient--somebody will surely respond who knows that machine.

Go over to the lawn forum and search "Is my reel mower causing this problem?" I have given several step-by-step reel/bedknife adjustment and backlapping instruction posts over there. Just go do a search.

Not clear whether you are still having problems after the shop resharpened, or whether it's OK now and you want to maintain goiing forward.

It seems that part of the problem was that the sheet-metal piece that sits behind the blade had been rusted. Does anyone have an owner's manual or parts list?

Thanks,
Todd
