Mower Not Turning Over

Need some help. Here's what my 15hp B&S mower sounds like when I turn the key. Jumped battery, changed spark plug and no luck. Click on below hyperlink to hear what it sounds like. Is this a bad starter? Thanks very much.

Sounds like the starter gear is not engaging the flywheel.

Is that the starter that I hear? If so, I'll have to check to see if the gear is broken or disengage? Thank you.

They are right. Everything is working except the starter gear is not engaging the flywheel.

Sounds like the Bendix drive is not engaging . Ensure you have good clean and tight connections so that proper voltage is reaching the starter motor.

That's the very same noise I here when Donna calls.... Either the drive itself is worn or the battery cables are switched side to side.
