Hey All:
On a 5 HP Briggs 130212-3218-01 for a walk-behind leaf blower I picked up for cheap, the RPMs didn't seem high enough. Borrowed a friend's tachometer to adjust the governor spring tension. Next day, the coil went. Replaced that and it started right up again, but the governor is pulling the throttle to off - stall. I can rev the engine by hand at the carb throttle, and even rev it by forcing the governor, but it just wants to pull down to stall.
The engine is free-wheeling because the fan is off. But, you would expect the governor to at least let the engine run.
Any thoughts on this?
Thanks!
Burt
