What a horror story these Hondas are way over engineered. I pop open the transmission cover. The friction disk and the friction rubber wheel were perfect. I lube all moving parts. When I test the trans all seem ok. I started the engine placed the snowblower through itÂs gears and all worked ok 3 forward and 1 reverse. I gave myself a pat on the back. I test the snowblower 1 hour later and to my surprise 1st gear did not work and reverse did not work. Does anyone have an instruction manual on how to adjust the trans. What a horror story.

Does anyone have a manual or can help me. I am trying to replace the friction disk on my HS80 and not sure what needs to be taken apart in order to side it out and install a new one. Thanks in advance

I figured out what is wrong with Honda HS80 shifting problem. There is a part under shifter that gets worn down and needs to be built up with a weld. This is about a 1 hour fix. If people want to email me and set up to send part to me I would fix for minimal cost, say $35, and that would include shipping.
