I have a Toro Quick start with a briggs and stratton 6.25 hp (I think, I can check later). I got it and it was over serviced with oil. I didn't realize this until after I bypassed the brake (cable doesn't work properly or the handle is bent i assume) and started the engine and it shot oil all over my garage. I drained and replaced with 10w-30. I bypassed the brake again and it still shoots oil and smoke. I ran it for maybe 2 minutes before I shut it down so I didn't annoy the neighborhood with all the smoke. Anyone have any ideas about either case? I don't know how to tell whether the cable is bad even though i am rather mechanically inclined.
