The float needle and seat aren't sealing or maybe improperly assembled.

Also the float itself may have developed a leak-and won't float so well anymore. If you remove the float and shake it and sense liquid inside, it could use a new one.The float setting itself is a tad above level.

Thanks for the info. I got the gas leak repaired following instructions provided. The engine starts up now.

My next problem is getting the wheeled weedwhacker unseized. It is belt driven and is seized at the head of it that spins the spool to cut. It belongs to a friend and she's had it sitting around for a few years. I thought I'd bring it home and try and get it back together for her. And maybe use it myself if it works good.
