Most is junk now. Toro used to have differentials. We suck as a nation now. We do not support US manufacturers and demand crap. So they outsource and cut costs to give us what we ask for. Toro is nothing but plastic. Why would they use plastic lever controls...give me a break. Compare the new one to an older unit...you cannot compare.

Bottom line...a true diff. was eliminated to make them cheaper. The days of having equip last a lifetime are long gone. Just look at Gravely...out of business because they lasted too long. Buy one for life was their mode of operation...but the American does not value such quality. We through things out now.

Old blowers always had automatic differentials. Now they just cheapen everything and market a crap version is like an upgraded option...handle triggers to disengage the wheels so you can turn. Go figure. But people are clueless. Old blowers you could turn on a dime. I grew up using a 36" blower you could turn with one hand. Ariens has automatic differentials, but you need to step up the grade of blower to Platinum or Pro.
