Need to adjust 'fixed' throttle.

I hit a small stump with my pushmower and the fixed throttle seemed to have lost some rpms. I can't find any adjustment on it anywhere. It runs perfect just not opening up as far as it was before my little bush-hogging incident.

You may have partially sheared the flywheel key which will alter the ignition timing and affect performance.

You may also have bent the tab that holds the front part of the governor spring. It can be bent outward, stretching the spring, to increase RPM. The only way to tell if you have the proper RPM after adjusting is with a tachometer device.
