Check out the Snapper-Pro website. They list the Kawasaki FJ180V and the Honda GXV-160 as the engines offered on the 21". Not sure if this is still current.

On the regular (consumer) website, the "Commercial Push" is only offered with the Honda GXV-160 and the Briggs 850 OHV engine.

Briggs is a good engine, but the Honda is the "Cadillac" IMO. You'll pay about $100 more for the Honda vs. the Briggs. If you can afford and justify, I'd recommend the Honda. Kawasaki is also a great engine, but I still lean to the Honda GXV.

Thanks - I agree with what you say about Honda's GX engine. I was just wondering if it has the torque the Briggs has for heavier grass. I am in FL mowing St Augustine grass if you're familiar with that. Its a wide blade thicker,and fast growing grass in the summer, which can bring a mower to its knees at times.

I'm familiar with St. Augustine. I'm originally from Southern California and always used either a Trimmer front throw or a Tru-Cut front throw. I did have a Snapper push with a GXV-140 which I used in the back where I wasn't as concerned about closeness and cut quality. The little 4hp have plenty of grunt and you get about 15% to 20% more with the GXV-160.

I'm now in Jersey and everything is bent grass. Favorite mowers have been the Toro with Suzuki 2 stroke and I also have a Snapper with the Robin 2 stroke. Unfortunately both are no longer sold due to emissions rules. Suzuki was finally parted out, but I figure I have another 5 or more years with the Robin. It's on a Commercial Snapper with steel wheels, ball bearings, braced handles and other goodies.

I'm jealous - I'd love to have a 2 cycle Snapper. The Suzuki/Toro combo was a sweet set up too. A real shame the 2 cycles have been eliminated, as they'd last forever - especially the 2 brands you mentioned. Good luck with yours.
