Duraforce 10323 quit while mulching leaves

So this fall my lawnboy quit running while it was busy mulching a pile of leaves. Sounded like it lost spark and just spun down. I tried starting it later, but it just gives me a pop or two every once in a while but will no longer start. Compression seems fine, is my ignition blown?

What do I need to fix now?

It wouldn't be the first one that the CD pack died on. It may be possible that the flywheel key was sheared.
