The retaining bolt is best removed w/ an impact wrench and usually a 5/8" socket. If no impact, you will need to hold the clutch w/ the double d flange on the clutch. Leave the clutch pedal up to keep tension on the drive pulley so if the key is loose, it should stay in place. If the clutch is difficult to remove, cleaning up the shaft and applying anti sieze is a good thing. Blue loctite can be used on the threads of the retaining bolt if desired. Torque spec is many times on the info tag w/ the clutch. Route the wire harness out of harms way , positioning the clutch the same way the old one is removed helps. One the clutch is installed, condition the clutch first before working it. Usually this means to engage the clutch repeatedly 5- 10 times by cycling the switch.

Thanks,tomplum. I assume the retainer bolt has left-hand threads. The engine turns counter clock wise. Does that sound right. Also, do I need a puller?

No. Standard thread- ccw to loosen. Most times the clutch will slide right off.
