| I knew the starter was bad, but a free snow blower is a free snow blower. The plug in starter was new and shiny. The rest of the old 24" Ariens Snow blower looked pretty decent for being 30 ~ yrs old. I finally got around to investigating the starter. Made in Taiwan. I used a 5/16 nut driver to take it apart. The smoke has been let out. It looks like a dead short, fried to open at a 3 way splice. Is this within my DIY capabilities to fix ? Stay tuned... |

| I'm seeing shiny copper through one of the fields. I'm just gonna use it as parts for the runners. |
