Try to water the vine as the soil looks really dried out. As well, the melon itself need lots of water to grow and mature.

I am not familiar with that name or with the vegetable pictured. Is it common in your country? Could it possibly be a hybrid from the compost heap? Perhaps an overgrown cucumber?

Not getting any significant search results for "vallery" AND [vegetable or melon].

It looks somewhat like a dwarf watermelon but I don't know if there is such a thing.

Maybe a mellon/gourd mix?
