Hey,

Any idea what shrub could this be?

Looks like a double pink flowering cherry, such as Kanzan (No 'W'). Presumably forced into bloom early, judging by the leaf size and colour. Most flowering cherries are trees rather than shrubs.

RE: name me

Looks like Prunus subhirtella "Autumnalis"

RE: name me

Could well be, Thedecoguy, but the flowers look quite large in relation to the leaves. Perhaps Clusty could tell us if it's been seen flowering outdoors or only in this vase. And maybe give us a better focus close up.

Clusty, either way it's a flowering cherry of some sort.

RE: name me

What about double flowering almond, Prunus glandulosa 'Rosea Plena'?

RE: name me

That's a thought, esh_ga, but I thought I could see quite long petioles and not such stiff twigs.

RE: name me

flora_uk, unfortunately I do not know anything about the plant.
