the lack of green in the leaves tends to make me think it is starved for light ....

you might want to ask about that.. in the houseplant forum ...

it is also.. easy propagated .... and you could make yourself a couple hundred new pets with what you have there... lol ..

Thanks Ken and Carol, maybe I will post about it in the houseplant forum. I don't know a ton about plants, really I don't know anything, it's a miracle this plant has survived 5 years with me lol.

'Camille' and other Dieffenbachia can be white. Ken likes to shoot his mouth off without checking first.

look at the plant.. lush new growth has a vivid green edge ...

the old leaves up top are near white and the last 6 inches of growth is relatively weak compared to prior growth ...

It may have fertilizer burn or other chemical build up but it's not lack of light.
Most plants get greener when they don't get enough illumination. Again need to get your facts straight before spouting off. Light colored foliage is associated with too much light, cold damage, low nitrogen or other elements to name a few.

Just curious, why are there just a few weak leaves at the very top of the branches? I would expect to see many more healthy leaves on the tall stems...unless the light provided just hits the healthy green-edged leaves at the bottom, say from window? As well, are there drainage holes in that pot? If not, it might be worth it to move to another pot and a change of soil might do wonders...

Does this pot have an attached drain saucer?
