a pic of branches with some buds would be very helpful to move into the realm of botany.

otherwise
going by the bark it could be some ornamental Acer (Maple?) Acer capillipes tends to have more stripy bark.

moss is extra tricky, I knew some guys who had some sub-microscope-thingy at hand for IDing those
