Name That Plant!

Wildflower ID in Sierra Nevada

Hi everyone--
This plant sure looks like it should be easy to identify, but I haven't found anything. Here's a link to the pic:

It occurs just off the Pacific Crest trail in the Sierra Nevada, California, between I-80 and old US 40, near Donner Summit. Altitude is a bit over 7K feet.

A little quick research turned up "one-seeded pussypaws," Calyptridium monospermum, aka Cistanthe monosperma. Neat plant!
