Night Bloomer, White Flower, Flower Falls Immediately After Bloom

My aunt had a plant that belonged to her mother. My aunt took a cutting and planted it. It grew 9 feet tall, had never been repotted, and thrived indoors near a window. My aunt lived in Atlana, GA but the original plant was located in Louisville, KY.

The craziest thing about this plant was that it bloomed a white flower every night at midnight. The flower emitted the sweetest smelling scent. But the flower would die and fall off the plant before morning, still in bloom. She would take the flowers and put them in a bowl and the potpourri from the dried flowers would last for days!

She called it "Jesus in the Cradle" and I've searched for it by that name, but have never been able to find it. Can you help?

What plant produces a white flower, at night, that immediately dies, but remains in bloom, that can be used as potpourri as it dries, that can stay in a pot for 20 years, and can be started from a single cutting?

Thanks, in advance!
