Name That Plant!

Help ID a red/ white thorny vine

I can't figure out what this thorny, woody red vine is. It seems to have a white coating over the red, if that makes sense. The leaves are light green and broad. It is horribly invasive and I need to figure out the best way to get rid of it. I thought I had a picture of it in the fall, but this is now, so probably hard to identify. Any ideas?

There are some Rubus/ raspberry with waxy coats on their canes

R leucodermis
R occidetalis

Not sure which would be common in your area

It may noy be invasive depending on where you are located. It may be an agressive native.

I wish I had a picture with leaves on it. This plant did not produce any kind of fruit or berries. I will try to post in the spring when it can be seen better. Thank you
