unless this is some species rose.. IDing the thousands of named varieties is extremely hard ..

If this Rosa is a native species, you can work with the Australian Native Plants Society. The page below has links for the region where you reside. Once at the appropriate region's website, click on the Contact Us link. You can probably ask them where to send your photos for ID. If the species isn't native, ANPS members at the regional or local levels can probably point you to additional resources.

I don't think there are any Roses native to Australia - but am prepared to be put right on this.

Ambili - did you grow this rose from seed? If so it will not have a name unless you sowed seed of a species.

Or did you plant a rose in this pot which has died and then budded from the rootstock? To me the rose in the picture looks like something which could have been used for grafting onto. It resembles Rosa canina, Dog Rose, or a seedling thereof. Note the 7 leaflets and the small, pink, single flowers.

Wrong leaves and petals for dog rose. Habit looks like it might be climbing or rambling but otherwise flowers remind of 'Escapade'. But if it is instead a home-grown hybrid seedling then there is in fact no point in talking about names of other roses.
