    Agave americana
    Agave parryi
    Etc?

    Probably a parryi variety, there are several.

    ooh, congrats! Agave in flower. Sadly agaves die after flowering, but while the flowers last they're very spectacular!

    It might have babies growing on the sides of it. I had one in Vero Beach that the flowers made little plants after they bloomed.
