Alliaria?

Yup, Alliaria petiolata, Garlic Mustard. It's a biennial - makes a flowerless rosette of leaves the first year, and then has a good start when it flowers next spring. It's a terrible invasive around here in NJ - big swaths of woods are nothing but Garlic Mustard in the spring.

Mints are noted for their square stems.
Garlic Mustard is a real pest in some areas.

a horrible weed in my MI garden .. of which i am sure there are hundreds under 2 feet of snow in MI ..

The shape of the new growth is what confused me, I had never seen (or id's as such) the plant when it was in this stage of growth. Yes, here in MI it is also classified as invasive and many parks even have signs posted that instruct hikers and visitors to pull it up if they see it.
