What is this messy vine? Help!

| Hi there
I'm trying to restore my garden with natives. This vine is swallowing up much of the property's rear. What is it? Is it invasive? Native?

| I agree....aka "wire vine". Native to New Zealand, it is a pretty aggressive spreader/climber. Although not formally listed as an invasive species, it has naturalized throughout some native plantings in the Bay area, specifically the Golden Gate Recreation area and the Presidio. |
