| I originally id'd the plant in #2 as self heal (prunella vulgaris) but now not sure, could it be downy wood-mint (blephilia ciliata); plant in #1 looks like woundwort (stachys palustris) in my ref book but varies noticeably with pix on line; I am stumped. |

| Number 2 looks like selfheal to me- prunella. Seeing the whole plant would help-- can't tell what the leaf is fully like. |

| Hi, Number one looks like Satureja vulgaris. Number two is most probably prunella vulgaris. |
Here is a link that might be useful: Satureja vulgaris
|
| No 2 does look like Prunella vulgaris to me too. |

| Agreed. #2 is Prunella vulgaris. I've picked much of it for herbal uses. #1 - Do you have a picture of the whole plant? FataMorgana |
|
| Agree with Satureja vulgaris for #1 |

| Here are some photos of the plant for the flower in number 1. The bottom photo has a lot of background plants so you may have to follow the stem from the flower head to be sure you are looking at the right plant. From what's been suggested so far #1 does seem to be Satureja vulgaris which seems to be a synonym for Clinopodium vulgare (@USDA). |
