I found a cool flower when walking, could you help me ID them?

it was found in Bodkin Park, Perth, Western Australia. I think it was planted as part of a re-vegetation program by a local school.

hello,

oh wow that is nice, i will say I don't know what it is, but is it growing in a desert climate? could it be a form of tumble weed?
maybe a horthorn? (we have them as bushes in the UK, horribly prickly.

None of the above. A member of the Fabaceae of which Australia has a huge number.

I think it may be Jacksonia calcicola, which is a member of the Fabaceae family.

Here is a link that might be useful: Jacksonia calcicola

I think it is Melaleuca gibbosa, slender honeymyrtle.

Aerilia123 - reading you answer, I'm not sure if you realised that Fabaceae is the name of a whole family of plants, not one specific type of plant. I believe the family has over 1000 members in Australia.

If you follow susanc's link you will see the particular species within that family that she thinks your first plant is.

Sorry, if you knew all that. It wasn't clear to me from your reply.
