Wow! What a stunning picture. I'd love to create that in my yard, but those three wouldn't bloom at the same time for me!

The photo has been rather hamfistedly manipulated to give those glaring unnatural colours and wonky shapes. The original, though still bright, is more realistic. You can see the two tone shading of the blooms much more clearly. And bear in mind these guys use millions of bulbs every year.

Yeah, I knew the photo had been altered, but I could still see the idea behind it...even on a smaller scale, it would look awesome in my yard...IF tulips, daffodils, and muscari bloomed at the same time here.

I can't get that kind of massing but in the spring I have a succession of ephemerals. First there are snow drops, then glory of the snow, crocus, grape hyacinth and spring beauty. I keep looking for more.
Sometimes people stop to find out what they are. It is amazing to see a blue yard.

Well, in the right location with proper care Muscari will multiply to an extent you would not believe.

Every year a muscari bulb will multiply, often two or three to one if the blossoms are trimmed after they fade. If you leave them alone except for fertilizing, each and every one of those new bulbs will multiply at the same rate. I once dug up a long neglected row and discovered each original bulb had transformed into over 200. The newest of course were quite small but when planted in a nursery bed, sorted by size, they grew and thrived. I wound up with thousands of bulbs.

I dug up the row originally because they were crowded and were having fewer blossoms. Once they were no longer so crowded they bloomed beautifully.

Lol, the sea of blue (vs unaltered natural plant growth) is certainly attractive!

Once planted, they run amok. You'll never get rid of them unless you move.
