Roses that were pollinated leave a hip that looks like a berry but probably need pictures.

Those are rose hips, absolutely.

Awesome! Thank you! Is there any way to tell what type of roses they are?

No, no way to tell. They're hard to identify even if you have a pic of the bloom. But you could try again on the roses forum when it's in bloom. You'll get some guesses, and if it's a common enough one, maybe someone will know for sure what it is.

Thank you for the help! I have never worked with roses so I had no idea what tjey were!

The Canadian government subsidized a rose-breeding program for many years, and the Explorer and Parkland series roses include many hardy to zone 4. Wouldn't be surprised if your rose turns out to be Henry Kelsey or John Davis, or one of the other cannuck hybrids.

You can actually eat the hips too like a berry, they have a lot of vitamin C

Yes, the rose is a much loved plant in old herb gardens. Be sure to look up using rose hips via google before doing so. The hairy bits around the seeds need to be removed plus you'll not want to use the hips if you use pesticides or other chemicals around the plants.
